The effect of root stock on survival, vigour, fruit drop and yield of peach (Prunus persica) batch cultivar 6-A peach for the Malakand Division.

Abstract:
To find out best root stock for peach, three different root stocks, local peach (Swati), bitter almond and Hari apricot were tried. Local peach proved to be the best regarding survival of plants, vigour and yield of the trees. Hence there was 100% survival, 48.44% more vigour and 18.56% more yield in case of peach as compared with other root stocks.
