To study the residual effect of phosphorus and potassium on the yield of subsequent crop (wheat).

Abstract:
Residual effect of phosphorus and potassium applied to maize crop was studied on the yield and yield components of the subsequent wheat crop. All the characters studied were affected by fertilizer treatments. Phosphorus and potassium applied to maize crop was sufficient for succeeding wheat crop. The rate of nutrients i.e., 100 Kg N + 75 kg P205+ 50 Kg K20/ha was found optimum and in balanced proportion for both the crops
