Unbiased ratio-cum-product estimator in estimating the finite population mean.

Abstract:
An optimum unbiased estimator for population mean is obtained by combining various estimators using two auxiliary variables. The proposed estimator is more efficient than the mean estimator, conventional ratio and product estimators and estimators considered by Singh (1967), Singh (1987), Singh & Biradar (1992) and Tracy et al. (1996)
