Abstract:
The studies were carried out under laboratory conditions at Department of Entomology, SAU-Tandojam from October - April, 2012-13. The field surveys were conducted and the collections were made from the farmer’s field surrounding of Tando Allahyar at the time of transplantation of cauliflower seedlings, the density of S. liturea was observed. Therefore, the collections of larval stage were brought and reared on the leaves of cauliflower in laboratory conditions. The results indicated that indoxacarb was the most toxic insecticides with the LC50 value of 0.0184mg / ml followed by emamectin benzoate having LC50 values of 0.0795 mg / ml and 0.0925 mg / ml, respectively. The antifeedant activity test also indicated that of 0.0062 mg / ml. However, emamectin benzoate did not showed any antifeedant activity because its LC50 and ED50 values were almost same i.e., 0.039 mg / ml and 0.0365 mg / ml, respectively. Therefore, emamectin benzoate has suggested using in cauliflower crop to save the crop from pest.
