Abstract:
Objectives: To determine the Prevalence, origins and forms of Workplace violence Study Design: A cross sectional survey Place and Duration: PIMS School of Nursing and Federal Government Services School of Nursing from Materials and Methods: A cross sectional survey of student nurses in school of nursing of public health care facilities in Islamabad was conducted as a selfadministered questionnaire. Student nurses were included in this study from two different schools in PIMS School of Nursing and Federal Government Services School of Nursing Result: All the participants 70 (100%) were females. Amongst all student nurses response regarding physically abused for never bullying were 89.9% and for bullying were 10.1%. Bullying of students in clinical setting the result is 12.14% for bullying and for never bullying were87.86%. bullying on students in clinical setting the result for frequency of bullying behavior were 84.6% out of 100% (n=70) students. Conclusion: student nurses in clinical setting verbal abuse and physical abuse were more common. Workplace violence/bullying persists as a problem not only for nurses, but also for other non-nursing, unit-based staff. It is essential that any interference planned to trim down bullying behavior address all healthcare staff.
