Abstract:
The problem of estimating the parameters α, β which was possibly first investigated by kummell(1879) has been studied by many statisticians. A variety of estimators of α, β proposed over the years could now be seen and various approaches that have been pursued from time to time for estimation of a linear functional relation are reviewed.
