Abstract:
Pole-shifting technique is applied to the classical model of a power system and a Lur-e-type Lyapunov function is constructed using popy’s frequency-domain criterion for absolute stability. A stability region corresponding to this Lyapunov function is obtained. The effect of the degree of pole shifting is also studied. This technique may be useful in applying vector Lyapunov theory to multimachine power theory to multimachine power system.
