Abstract:
Application of mechanical tension on the control of cell cycle in fibroblasts' sheets has shown the involvement of mechanical factor in the control of cell cycle, hence increase in the mitotic index. Confluency did not prevent cell -division, while cells grown in the form of "Sail" sheet in a type (3-dimensional) substrate (nitex or chiffon) are multi layered, but the same cells in conventional cultures (glass -or plastic) in monolayer form showed the phenomenon of density dependent inhibition of growth after becoming confluent.
