Abstract:
Generally, there are environmental challenges in the field of waste water treatment particularly the activated sludge system. To this approach, some applied and fundamental studies are needed to be done. Theses challenges are about production and disposal of excess sludge produced in waste water treatment plant by activated sludge system with optimizing the parameters of treatment. To do this, a pilot was installed in the laboratory and the wastewater was supplied from shahrak-e-Qods wastewater treatment plant so the suitable sampling and testing Led us into some remarkable results. Consequently the sludge production is reduced by raising the concentration of dissolved oxygen in the mixed liquid and also decrease in sludge loading entered the aerating tank causes decreasing in the sludge production. Finally a mathematical regressive model has been developed to simulate the activated sludge flock and the effects of the above mentioned parameters.
