Abstract:
Seven cultivars of Nicotiana tabacum extensively grown in N.W.F.P., showed a remarkable difference in the number of plastids per stoma. The number of plastids per stoma was in the range, 21.98 ± 0.296 in cultivar Speight 28 to 10.89 ± 0.173 in cultivar Coker 319. The graphs showing the number of plastids per stoma against the frequency, were also drawn.
