Abstract:
It is fair to say that ultrasound has established itself as the indispensable diagnostic equipment in obstetrics and gynaecology. A great advantage of it is that an obstetrician and gynaecologist can use it himself and does not have to rely on the scarce laboratory and radiologist's services. Inexpensive models are now available, so it should be available at all the levels of health service whether it is private or government sector.
