Abstract:
ERST-I imagery offered a unique and convenient means of evaluating copper deposits in Chaaai region for which little topographic mapping is available. At Saindak, several small copper bearing porphyritic quartz diorite stocks cut northward across the entire folded lower tertiary stratigraphic section. Old prospect area of Amir Chah locality is evaluated to fit the general Saindak type model and regarded as fairly high priority prospect. An intrusive in Mashki Chah locality suggests hornfelsic zones and regarded as relatively high priority prospect. Koh-i-Dalil Railway Station area suggests a Saindak-like intrusive and deserves field examination prior to remote localities.
