The role of nerves in the tissue regeneration of muscle in Mus musculus.

Abstract:
Regeneration of gastrocnemius muscle, following mincing and elimination of nerve supply, was studied in Pius musculus. It was discovered that muscle regeneration proceeds to considerable extent even without the nerve supply. Further growth and maturation of the muscle, however, is dependent upon normal innervation.
