Abstract:

The specimens of the genus Acanthotaenia were collected from the intestine of a green python, Chondropython viridis, which died at the London Zoological Gardens. This appears to be belonging to a hirtherto unknown species of the genus Acanthotaenia for which the name Acanthotaenia pythonis n. sp. is proposed.
