Abstract:
Carbon burning rates are important in hydrocarbons conversion processes, as catralyst become fouled and deactivated after a period of use, because carbon is deposited over them. In a study experiments have been performed to determine whether the reaction rates (Carbon burning rates) were controlled by the rates of the chemical changes or the rates of mass transfer. Mass transfer was found to be the limiting factor.
