Abstract:

One new and four already known species of the genus Cephalogonimus poirier are described and recorded for the first time from Pakistan in fresh water turtle Lssemys punctata punctata (Malcom-Smith) collected from Khinger lake in Sind. The new species is compared with its closest ally, C. mukerjius Rai and a key is given to separate all the species to date known from the above host.
