Abstract:
A study was conducted during 1997-1998 and 1998-1999 to determine the effect of nitrogen levels (0, 40, 80 and 120 kg/ha) and sowing rates (80, 130, 180 and 230 kg/ha) on yield and yield related traits of Triticale at research fields of Dicle University, in Diyarbakir, Turkey. Plant height, spike length, yield and protein content of the seeds increased with increasing nitrogen level. The highest seed yield (2011.2 kg/ha) was obtained from 120 kg/ha nitrogen level sowing rate also affected spike length, spikelet number, 1000-seed weight and protein content.
