Abstract:
Observations were made on the effects of different doses of gamma irradiation on leaves of 3 inbred lines of Zea mays L. Higher doses were found to reduce number and width of leaves while lower doses had non significant effects on these characters. Observations were also recorded on leaf anomalies like striped leaves, furcated leaves, mottled leaves and knotted leaves. The behaviour of these anomalies was investigated throughout the developmental processes.
