Abstract:
The `UV` and visible absorption spectra of some hydroxy mono-azo-compounds containing more than one hydroxy group are investigated in organic solvents. The absorption bands are assigned to definite electronic transitions. The effect of solvent and molecular structure on band po3iton are discussed. The stability constant for the molecular complexes formed in ethanol is also determined.
