Abstract:
Studies were undertaken for the adsorption of Zinc on Bentonite with reference to the industrial pollution. Bentonite contains montmorillonite, which has the quality to adsorb the inorganic and organic materials Zinc chloride solution was treated with Bentonite at different conditions like time, temperature pH and mesh size. The parameters were optimized and it was observed that at 4 pH, 30 microns particle size and at 60oC treated for three hour showed maximum adsorption of Zinc on the Bentonite clay.
