Abstract:
It has been found that the use of triangular variation diagrams for plotting the analytical data of the Azad Kashmir rocks is helpful in differentiating the bauxite from the associated rocks. The fire clay and the bauxie appear as a separate distinct group from ages of silica and alumina in the bauxites of the various localities are due to fluctuations in the bauxitization environment causing differential leaching and precipitation of these important components. Statistical calculations further confirm the conclusion deduced from the variations diagrams of the bauxite and the associated rocks.
