Abstract:
There is alarming increase in the world population. The rate of increase is about 2 per cent per year. This world average has two very different components, each of which constitutes a population problem. For the developing regions, the problem is essentially one of growing numbers that are thwarting economic plans and frustrating the aspirations of their subjects for a better way of living. In the economically developed regions the problem is essentially one of depletion of natural resources. This paper is mainly concerned with the demographic aspects of population planning in Pakistan.
