Abstract:
The features of abortion and infertility in Angora goats at the Livestock Experiment Station, Rakh Khairewaia, are described Brucella melitensis has been cultured from an aborted foetus but evidence is presented that infection with this organism is not the only cause of abortions at the farm Most females abort only once but there are no symptoms other than premature expulsion of the foetus. It is suggested that the disease may have a genetic basis and be conditioned by environmental factors.
