Abstract:
The non-intrusive flow measuring experimental technique known as Laser Doppler Velocimetry is described. This technique was used by the author to mea-. Sure the flow field across the deflagration wave of a Home front stabilized in the make of a bluff body. Data obtained during experimentation with this technique at the Laboratory of Combustion Aerodynamics, University of Illinois are presented. The applicability of Loser Doppler Anemometers is discussed.
