Abstract:
An experiment to determine the effect of three levels-50, 75 and 100 Kg P2O5 and two levels-50 and 75 Kg K20/ha on the development of onion bulbs was conducted at the horticultural gardens of Sind Agriculture University, Tandojam, during the year 1985-86. The results suggested that the highest dose of 100 Kg P2O5/ha gave significantly (5% level) more heavier bulbs and the greater bulb yield/plot as compared to the plants receiving 50 or 70 Kg P208 /ha. The application of two different levels of K2O did not show any significant effect. The interaction of the different levels of two plant nutrients was also not significant.
