Abstract:
One species of Phacus (Phylum Euglenophyta) and six species belonging to six genera and four families of the order Bacillariales (phylum Bacillariophyta) were collected from freshwater habitats of different places at Sialkot District of the Punjab Province during March and September 1986. They were taxonomically determined, and are being described for the first time from their area of collection. Most of them were found to occur during summer in stagnant water reservoirs.
