Abstract:
The establishment of Pakistan Science Foundation came on June 30, 1973 under the Pakistan Science Foundation Act No.III of 1973 with a view to promoting and funding scientific activity vis-a vis the socio-economic of the country. The responsibilities of the include four broad areas of activity namely(1)research, _ promotion and support, utilization of results of research;(2) building institutional capability and establishment of scientific information and documentation centres (3) promotion of public understanding of science and assistance in creating organizations and institutions for motivating science in society; and (4) fuller utilization of the scientific manpower and arresting flight of the talent from the country.
