Abstract:
Some of the newer laboratory tests that can be used in the diagnosis of SLE have been reviewed. These tests are based on abnormalities in anti-nuclear factors, delayed cutaneous hypersensitivity and deformed dermal capillaries. The tests described are complementary to one another, and these tests together with a proper evaluation of the clinical picture help in the diagnosis of the disease.
