Redescription of Parallelotestis latifabadense Dharejo et al., 2009 from the bird Egretta Garzetta in Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan.

Abstract:
During a survey of helminth parasites of the bird Egretta garzetta (Ayes: Ardeidae) of Jamshoro and Hyderabad districts of Sindh Province Pakistan; two specimens of the genus Parallelotestis Belopol`skaia, 1954 were collected from intestine of the host. Morphometric studies specify that the trematodes understudy resemble Parallelotestis latifabadense Dharejo et al., 2009 in all essential features hence, identified as such. The present species is the second to be reported from Egretta garzetta but the site of infection is intestine and locality is Jamshoro.
