Abstract:
Several plant parasitic and soil nematodes found during a survey of mostly wheat fields are reported as new geographic records for Pakistan. The taxonomic studies on Filenchus cylindricus (Thorne & Malek, 1968) Niblack & Bernard, 1985; Boleodorus rafiqi Husain & Khan, 1965; Psilenchus pratensis Doucet, 1996; Pratylenchus delatterei (Luc, 1958) Handoo & Golden, 1989; Ditylenchus emus Khan, Chawla & Prasad, 1969; Ditylenchus medicaginis Wasilewska, 1965; Aphelenchoides asterocaudatus Das, 1960; Aphelenchoides rutgersi Hooper & Myers. 1971; Xiphinema californicum Lamberti & Bleve- Zacheo, 1979; Pungentus engadinensis Altherr, 1950; Dorylaimellus (Dorlaimellus) vexator Heyns, 1963; Dorylaimoides arcuatus Siddiqi. 1963: Tylencholaimus gertii Kruger, 1965; Tylencholahnus proximus Thorne, 1939; Leptonchus gramclosus Cobb, 1920; Talanema mauritiense (Williams. 1959) Andrassy, 1990; Microdorylainws miser (Thorne & Swanger, 1936) Andrassy, 1986 and Longidorella (Kantbhala) allii Suryawanshi, 1971 are presented in this paper. The populations of nematodes found in this study had similar general morphological and morphometrical characters to the corresponding type populations.
