Abstract:

The thrombolytic therapy has been used in a variety of arterial occlusive processes including upper and lower limb ischaemia, occlusion of bypass grafts and thrombosis after PTA. In the present study a case of acute thrombosis following unsuccessful angioplasty of the popliteal artery was successfully treated by the low dose infusion of thrombolytic therapy (5000 units/h of streptokinase).
