Abstract:

Effect of formulated ointment of the extract of Ruellia patula for wound healing was evaluated. The ethanol extract of the plant was formulated in simple ointment base. The ointment showed very good healing activity on excision wound in albino rats as compared to that of standard drug Framycetin Sulphate Cream 1% w/w.
