Chitosan is being proved to be an outstanding chemical and pharmacokinetic properties. The recent studies have shown that chitosan has a wonderful impact on metabolic disorders particularly the diabetes. In this study, we have evaluated the role of chitosan application on diabetic foot and oral administrated for 28 days. Simultaneously the dietary calories were controlled to prevent the blood glucose spikes. The glucose was monitored twice a day without use of any antidiabetic medication. At the end of study, a significant improvement in healing of diabetic foot was observed. We concluded that by controlling blood sugar spikes with oral and topical application of chitosan can help to recover from blood sugar, diabetic foot infection and healing of wound.
