Abstract:
The proposed method gives satisfactory results and is less time consuming than the methods usually employed for chromite ore analysis. The suggested improvement makes the earlier method of Khundkar and Quadir more convenient and accurate. The value of chromite ore is dependent not only on chromium content, but also on the contents of iron and silica. Hence, the above mentioned co-determination of chromium and iron may be used with advantage in routine analysis of chromite ores.
