Abstract:
Temperature-dependance of the toxicity of an insecticide, which is an important variable among those influencing it, has been discussed and the various theories of the pronounced negative temperature coefficient of DDT have been examined and reviewed. It has been concluded that for maximum effectiveness, DDT should be applied at times of high temperatures (late after noon) with cooler periods (nights) to follow.
