A new cestode genus Myrmillorhynchus based on Myrmillorhynchus pearsoni (Southwell, 1929), new combination, from the fish Myrmillo manazo (Bik.) of Karachi coast has been described. The genus is characterized by possessing 4 sessile bothridia, wider pars bothridialis, pars vaginalis and pars bulbosa almost equal in length, heterocanthus and heteromorphous hooks; hooks at the base of the armed portion not larger than on rest of the tentacles, testes 44-47 in number; all prevaginal, genital pore unilateral at the posterolateral margin of the proglottid, and ovary bibbed at the base of the proglottid.
