Abstract:
Objective: The objective of this research work was to evaluate the rate of occurrence of generalized seizures among the patients suffering from ischemic stroke of acute nature. Methodology: This research study was carried out at Neurology Department, Sheikh Zayed Hospital Rahim Yar Khan. We included total one hundred patients who were suffering from acute ischemic stroke. The follow up period for the patients was fifteen days to evaluate the seizures after stroke. Results: The average age of the patients was 57.37±11.18 years. The rate of occurrence of generalized seizures among these patients of acute ischemic stroke was 10.0%. Conclusion: The appearance of generalized seizures among these patients was not much high.
