The genus is characterized by having: smaller body size, smaller size of oral and ventral sucker, shape and size of holdfast organ and gonads, different in shape and size of eggs, The reported species of genus Neodiplostomum Railliet, 1919, is being reported for the first time from Karachi, Sindh, Hence Milvus migrans is first host record and Karachi is new locality.
