Abstract:

Sodium salt of ortho aminophenyl acetic acid is prepared from phenyl acetic acid by nitration with HNO3H2SO4 mixture and selective reduction with ferrous sulphate. Based on analytical data Cr(III) Complex is represented as CrL3, Mn(II), Fe(II) and Co(II) as NaML3 and Ni(II) and Cu(II) as ML2. Formation of complex is further characterized by spectral studies.
