Abstract:
The preparation of trivinylethoxysilane (I) trivinylchlorosilane (II) and trivinyl (2-chloroethoxy) silane (III) and the assignments of various group frequencies of their vibrational spectra are reported. It has been suggested that twisting (vas) CH2 mode of vibration can be used to differentiate ethoxy group from 2-chloroethoxy group in technical silicon products.
