Abstract:
A total of 55 wood ant nests, belonging to the species Formica lugubris Zett. were found during 2 years of field work, most of which are localized towards the north-eastern and eastern side. The wood ants were found here to be most active from April to early December. However, their foraging activity depended upon temperature and humidity.
