Amino acid analysis of leaf protein concentrates prepared from two species of Cassia.

Abstract:
Preparation of protein concentrate from leaves of Cassia italica and Cassia holosericea is reported. Amino acid analysis of the crude protein showed that it contains most of the essential amino acids. It is concluded that the protein from the leaves of above mentioned species could serve as one of the raw material for supplementing animal dietary protein.
