Abstract:
A considerable quantity of crops, fruits, vegetables and food products- are produced in Pakistan. A significant quantity of these products is destroyed due to various factors. Our scientists conducted research, utilizing ionizing radiations, to increase the production and to minimize the losses of agricultural produce in Pakistan. The results indicate that ionizing radiations alone and in conjunction with other advanced techniques can be used as a tool in crop improvement and in the preservation of fruit, vegetable and food of animal origin.
