Abstract:
Isomers near the predicted N=40 sub-shell closure in 63Ni, 65Ni, and 67Ni have been populated in the fragmentation of a 76Ge, 8.56 MeV/u beam onto a thickness of the 4.3 mg/cm2 198Pt target at Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute. Here we report the precise results for the half-life of the vg9/2+ isomers in 63,65,67Ni nuclei. The systematic studies of the reduced transition probabilities for the M2 transition between 9/2+ and 5/2- has been investigated. The B (M2) values are in general consistent with previous measurements.
