Abstract:
Deficiencies of Zn and Mn have occurred in various crops grown on al-kaline calcerous soils of Pakistan. Recent reports by researchers have shown Zn to strongly depress Mn uptake by upland crops with Mn playing little part in Zn absorption by these crops. Little information exists regarding the role of the soil medium in their interaction. The present soil inoculation experiment conducted on two upland soils was aimed at assessing any fluctuation in their solubility as a result of their interaction in the soil.
