Abstract:
During a survey of diseased specimens in the cultivated area of Malir and experimental field of Department of Botany, University of Karachi, carrot (Daucus carota L.), coriander (Coriandrum sativum L.), dill (Anethum graveolens L.) and lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) showed yellowing and stunted growth. Roots of such plants were found to be parasitized by root-knot nematode. These hosts are new reports of M. incognita from Pakistan not reported earlier.
