Abstract:
Various forms of Urdu anaphora are being investigated and their resolution by computer is proposed. Anaphora is mainly classified as noun-phrase anaphora and verb-phrase anaphora. The noun-phrase anaphora is the one which plays a key role in making the text difficult in the analysis stage e.g. in a machine translation system. The noun-phrase anaphora is divided into personal, demonstrative, distributive, indefinite, relative, compound relative, reflexive and interrogative.
