Abstract:
Details are given of a facility recently developed in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the N.W.F.P University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, which is capable of testing a single-entry radial-inflow gas turbine under steady flow design and off-design conditions. Particular attention is given to equip the rig with modern instruments and controls to measure fluid flow parameters. Design of the various systems of the rig is described.
