Abstract:
Symptoms most commonly me with in 100 cases of benign enlargement of prostate treated by prostatectomy are described. Symptoms of renal insufficiency present in advanced cases are excluded. Frequency of mictruition was the commonest symptom followed by dysuria in one form or the other, retention of urine, pain and haematuria in that order. Increased libido has not been a symptom in these patients worthy of any mention.
