Abstract:
Whitefly population was high with mean value 9.25 in 1999 as compared to mean value 5.57 during 2000. Out of 64 cotton varieties infested with whitefly population, 51 exhibited economic threshold level (five nymphs and or adults per leaf) in 1999 but 38 varieties were found in 2000.Peak population was observed at the end of growing season i.e. between 10th and 24th September during both years.
